  wow, there is a lot of newbies lately, heck i've only been here 3-4 months, has the watchtower been having lots and lots of talks on apostate sites ???

  why do you suppose there are so many new people joining in ???.

  I think the GB and other key men of the WT org are scared shitless of the internet, look at all the hyped-up double talk designed to frighten the average JW from practically any form of two way comunication over the internet unless you absolutely know the person on the other end.

  They must know their days are numbered and the internet will eventually break up their cover of darkness. The internet is here to stay and will become more and more a part of every day life of every one everywhere. The internet offers a flood of information in exposing mind control cults, and it is all in the privacy of your own home.

  Can you imagine the uneasiness these spin doctors(GB) are feeling as they see their hypocrisy being exposed and more and more elders and others they rely on turning on them. They know also that there are many who are in the Org that are spies and want to do the most damage they can to the Wt before they get found out. The GB are sitting on a potential powder keg and they know it.

  ever feel violent rage toward BORG?

  pork chop and in_between_days seem to think i am the only one on this board who is bitter and feels occasionally violent toward the borg...what do you think?.

  i have been called low life scum because i made a comment (after being provoked) about not caring if all jws died of antrax.

  honestly, there are days i really feel that way.

  I think it is good therapy to talk about these feelings, and this forum should allow it for the good it will do some to be able to be honest with ourselves to such a degree.

  Recording Judicial Committee meetings........and having fun!

  the 'flock' book (elders manual) makes this quite clear and upon arriving at your judicial hearing one of the first questions you will be asked is whether you have any recording/transmitting equipment with you.. however, most jw's will have never seen - or even heard of - the 'flock' book.

  do a search on the wt cd on recording meetings and you will see that it all pertains to the recording of meetings at the kingdom hall and conventions and that any brother wishing to make such recordings is free to do so so long as the recording equipment is not attached to the society's equipment.

  the one question of propriety that is raised has to do with recording prayers.

  The elders are sometimes instructed to ask you: "Do you still consider yourself one of Jehovah's Witnesses?" Never answer this in the negative, for once you do they no longer need to DF you, they will just tell the congregation that you no longer consider yourself a JW (same as being DF'd).

  You have to answer this question with a unqualified Yes. Anything less can be used against you. For those that would consider this lying, You can still consider yourself a JW in a strictly tecnical sense, only don't elaborate on this with the elders, for then you will be playing into their hands..

  Plum,

  I think your going back to the KH is a temperary solution. All that you now know about the lies and deceptions of the WT, will make your return more of an eye opener for you. In time you will grow weary of the hypocrisy and spiritual junk food.

  We all need friends and support, and the JWs maybe a temperary fix, in the process try to make friends of people outside the org too, so that if the JW's shun you, you have a support system that you can turn to so you won't be so lonely.

  C.T. Russell's grave vandalized

  i attended a week long [six day] bible student convention in johnstown, pa, just outside of pittsburgh, there was a sister from romania who wanted to visit pastor russell's grave, so we drove the 2 hours up there, the last time i was there was in 1999.

  well, apparently russell'sgrave was vandalized, on the front and back of the tombstone there are these photos of russell embedded into the granite, someone decided to keep a momento and ripped them off, so there's just a hole where the pictures were.

  no respect for the dead, oh well.

  Is it morally wrong to piss on Russell's grave?

  I don't think taking a piss on his grave would be wrong.

  I would veiw it more as a symbolic jesture that is rich in meaning .

  I wouldn't make a special trip to piss on his grave but if I was close by I would find it very tempting, maybe not doing the actual pissing at the sight but perhaps bringing a vial filled with piss and just dumping it on the stone.

  I know some here would find it revolting, and I respect that.

  Nic,

  That is some very good information.

  I suggest also bring a recorder and keep it in plain sight (shirt pocket or what ever is convenient). This is one way to stop judicial proceedings, by being willing to attend, and always coming with a recording device. Wrongdoers hate the light(plain veiw) and love the darkness(secrecy and lies), so their works don't become exposed. If they are really rendering godly justice they should have nothing to hide. Their works or actions should be a lamp not hidden under a basket.

  Even if you don't have a recorder always say you do, that will stop the meeting cold.

  A big old pyramid makes Russells grave stone a likely target for teenage vandilism. And add to this the nonsense that is written on that stone and it makes it even more irresistable to a group of boys playing in a grave yard.

  I think it was not an XJW but just some kids that probably laughed so hard when they read the Tombstone, that they thought it would funny to desecrate it.
